Principal's Update 10-18-2013

This week, our students enjoyed our first PTO Assembly that was held on Thursday! The Assembly was entitled "Funwizz" and was presented by Brian Wissmer Entertainment. It was the first in a series of assemblies that will be held in order to address the theme for the year which is Living a Healthy Lifestyle. The "Funwizz" Show included lots of audience participation and was designed to address that being healthy is fun and important. It also taught students about health, fitness, exercise, and making good, healthy choices. Thank you to our PTO for sponsoring the assembly! The students really enjoyed it!!

This coming week is Red Ribbon Week! It is an ideal way for people and communities to unite and take a visible stand against drugs. Students, staff, and parents can show their personal commitment to a drug-free lifestyle through the symbol of the Red Ribbon during Red Ribbon Week. Our school will be participating in Red Ribbon Week with the following activities:

 

Monday- Wear Red

Tuesday- Stomp Out Drugs: Wear Mismatched Shoes

Wednesday- I’m Too Bright for Drugs: Wear Bright Clothing

Thursday- Friends Don’t Let Friends Bully or Use Drugs: Dress Like a Friend

Friday- Team Up Against Drugs: Wear Team Jerseys
