Change in Weather Reminder

As I am sure most of you know, although brief, we had our first snow of the season this afternoon. As a result, it appears that our weather has changed and winter is upon us. Please be sure to send your children to school prepared to be outside for recess each day, as we will take students outside throughout the winter months providing it is not raining or below zero. With our recess time for students now extended to 30 min., it is more critical than ever that our students are dressed properly to be outside in the cold. Students should wear winter coats, hats, gloves, and scarves.

When it snows, students must have snow boots and snow pants in order to be permitted to play in the snow. In efforts to keep students dry and comfortable for afternoon classes, students who do not have snow pants or boots when there is      snow covering the ground will be required to stay on the blacktop during recess.
