As I am sure you all know, we are predicted to have our first snow of the year this evening and I believe we have already seen some snow tonight. Please be sure to send students to school tomorrow dressed properly for the snow in the event that we do receive the snowfall that is predicted. Students will continue to go outside for recess throughout the winter months as long as the wind chill is safe. As a result, students will need to come prepared with snow boots, snow pants, hats, gloves, and scarves. We want children to be comfortable and dry in order to continue to be able to learn after recess, so students must have boots and snow pants in order to play in the snow during recess. Students who are not prepared to play in the snow will remain on the blacktop during recess in order to ensure that they stay dry for the afternoon.
I look forward to seeing the children's delight when we do finally have some snow for them to play in this winter!!
