This week was an excellent week for diving back into our academics! Our staff and students were back to being hard at work after our Thanksgiving Break!
Flyers for the Winter 2013 Program:
Worlds of Wisdom and Wonder from The Center for Gifted were sent home with students this week. Testing or gifted placement for these programs are not required for students to sign up. Applications for these programs are accepted by mail, fax, or email. Parents may also apply online at www.centerforgifted.org. Financial assistance is available based on need. Please contact the center for gifted for more information. I included a

Thanks to the students, parents, and staff of Willow Creek, we sold a total of $4,075.50 of merchandise through the Market Day
Life:Style Catalog fundraiser, earning a profit of $2,037.75! The PTO thanks each and every person that helped with and sold items for this fundraiser. Catalog orders will be ready for pick-up this Tuesday, December 4th from 2:55-3:55 p.m. in room 102 at Willow Creek. Families who are unable to pick up at this time and would like the orders to be sent home with a student should please contact Annie Bleau at 630-737-0068 or
anniebleau@sbcglobal.net prior to Tuesday's pick-up.
This Tuesday, we will be holding our next PTO meeting. The meeting will be held at Willow Creek at 1 p.m. All parents are welcome. There will be a raffle for Target and Dominick's gift cards!
The Willow Creek Storytelling Evening and Book Fair is scheduled for Thursday, December 6th from 6-8 p.m. at Barnes and Noble in Bolingbrook. Please join our PTO, teachers, and staff in the Children's Department for a night of stories and fun! Story time with Willow Creek Staff begins at 6:30 p.m. and there is no cost to attend. New this year is a bookmark craft table where students can create their very own bookmark. If families choose to make purchases, a portion of the purchases made during the book fair are donated to Willow Creek when a book fair voucher is presented at checkout. I have attached the
flyer with the voucher for interested families. Volunteer's from the Willow Creek PTO will also be providing free gift wrapping. There will be a special Willow Creek drink, the "Winter's Creek Cocoa" and a cupcake "Frostbite" available in the cafe. Food purchases will also be included in the proceeds that go towards Willow Creek. Families who cannot attend the book fair but want to still support the efforts and order items online can visit
