Thank you to our families who returned the conference preference slips in by Friday. Our staff will be meeting this week to determine exact conference times for each student and they will be sending home notifications to parents following the meeting. Please make a note of your scheduled conferences and arrive on time for your conferences. Our teachers will be on a tight schedule, but look forward to meeting with the parents of each student, as this is an excellent opportunity for our teachers and parents to communicate and work together to ensure and improve student learning for each child. Report cards will be sent home with students on Friday, November 16th. Students' STAR scores will be provided to parents at that time as well. Please be sure to ask your child's teacher for clarification of these reports or the ISAT scores that were mailed to parents earlier this year for our students in 4th through 6th grades.
The 11th Annual District 68 Oktubafest will be held at Jefferson JHS on Wednesday, November 7, 2012. This is the first band concert of the year for elementary students and it will feature our 5th and 6th grade band students district wide. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with a hot dog dinner and live music from the Northern Illinois University Brass Ensemble. This event is open to the public and admissions are free.
-Modest cost per person for the meal
- All proceeds benefit the band program
- No need to cook dinner before the concert
- Meet with other families in a festive setting
- Enjoy the joyful sounds of Oktoberfest
