Remembering 9/11

In remembrance of the ten year anniversary, teachers will be discussing and honoring September 11th with students this week. Individual teachers will be determining how they will honor this day with their classes in order for us to ensure that the different ages of students here at school are taken into account. I came across what could be a useful video to parents entitled: How to Talk to Your Kids About 9/11 . This video was featured on CBS News, and I thought it may be helpful due to the fact that television and media, over the course of the past few days, were consistently covering the anniversary of this historical event, which may have sparked some children to start asking questions or wondering about the events of September 11th.
