On Friday, the Reading Garden outside of the front of the building was planted. Although our staff and students have already been putting the seating area to great use, it will be nice to enjoy the area in its entirety. There were three large stones that were place in the center of the circular area for teachers and students to face the class if students are sitting all around on the stone benches. Sections of the ground that did not have grass have been seeded and a straw mat has been placed over these spots in order to help the grass seed grow and prevent the seeds from being blown away or eaten by birds. At least one of the new plants should have flower blossoms that will bloom this fall and we will anxiously be awaiting their growth!
