We ended 2014 with a busy bang!!
On December 10th, our PTO sponsored an all school assembly "The Tournament of Science." About 12-16 students participated in the tournament, while the rest of the students cheered them on and learned about science! The students loved the various challenges and experiments that were completed throughout the assembly!
Our last Monday of the year was used to celebrate our Students of the Month from the month of November! These students were chosen either by their teacher or their classmates for this honor. The Willow Creek Student Council held a Candy Cane sale during our last week of school! The students enjoyed buying Candy Canes, which many shared with family and friends. Thank you to Mrs. Keogh and Mrs. Wilkinson for assisting our students in this event.
First, second, and third graders performed in their musical performance on December 18th!! The students did an excellent job sharing holiday music from different cultures this year. They sang, danced, and played instruments! Kudos goes out to Mrs. Hector who coordinated the performance and worked with the students over the course of several months to prepare students for the concert!
Finally, we capped off our time together before break with the classroom holiday parties. The students loved playing games, doing crafts, and enjoying snacks with their classmates! Thank you to all of our room parents who planned the parties for our students!!
