Principal's Update 03-19-2013

I hope everyone is dried out after all those storms last week. It certainly made for an interesting week for everyone. Hopefully it will be a dry week this week so our students can get outside and run around!

Our PTO sponsored our last Cultural Arts Assembly for the year on Wednesday. Dr. Cool and Pride came to talk with our students about being resilient, respectful, and expecting people to accept them for who they are as individuals. They also sang some songs and played music, which gave our students and staff an opportunity to show off their dance moves too!

Monday is Earth Day and our students have been invited to celebrate by wearing earth colors such as blue, green, and brown and they are encouraged to bring a waste free lunch to school!

We will be holding our Academic Open House, Book Fair, and Ice Cream Social on Thursday evening. The Academic Open House and Ice Cream Social will begin starting at 6:30 and go until 8:00 p.m. The book fair will be open in the gym from 6-8 p.m. Please join us for a chance for your child to show you the work they have been doing this spring! Students will also be able to take home some of their art work that evening as well!
